Tea Benefits

There are four main types of tea, namely, black, green, white, and oolong. Tea contains substances called flavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect the body’s cell from damage due to harmful molecules called free radicals that is believed to play roles in many chronic diseases. Made from herbs, fruits, seeds, or roots steeped in hot water, herbal teas have lower concentrations of antioxidants than green, white, black, and oolong teas because their chemical compositions vary widely depending on the plant used.
