“The Yeti Rider” Nunu


Nunu is a high mobility champion that can be played effectively as a tank, support, damage dealer or a hybrid of these. He has strong buffs and debuffs built-in to his ability kit. Nunu’s passive is Visionary which allows him to cast any spell without using mana after 7 normal attacks. This buff clears if Nunu dies before utilizing it.

“The Berserker” Olaf


Olaf is a unique melee DPS (damage per second) champion who scales up and  damage by build up more hit points as well as conventional damage items. Olaf’s passive is Berzerker Rage which gives Olaf bonus attack speed as his hit points lower with incoming damage.


Krobelus The Death Prophet


Death Prophet is an Intelligence caster Hero who excels at pushing lanes. Like other casters, her abilities allows her to be less item dependent during the early game. As she skills Exorcism, Death Prophet can deal a huge amount of damage to towers and lone heroes alike, while healing at the end of the duration. Despite being a caster, Death Prophet has a relatively high Strength compared to other Intelligence heroes and she is mostly built as a Tank. Her passive ability, Witchcraft, grants her the highest permanent movespeed among Intelligence heroes in the game and a decent buff to her spells.

“The Lady of Clockwork” Orianna


Orianna is a completely unique champion with an all-new way of casting spells: All of Orianna’s abilities utilize The Ball, sending it across the battle field as the main method of destruction and focus of her spells. Using The Ball, she can deal plenty of damage as a mage or manipulate the battlefield as a support champion. Orianna’s passive is Clockwork Windup. All of Orianna’s basic attacks deal bonus magic damage, increasing with ability power. Attacking the same target multiple times in a row will increas that bonus damage.


Dota 2 Brewmaster


Valve’s Dota 2 update today involves minor bugs and gameplay fixes, and the addition of Brewmaster (known as Pandaren Brewmaster in DotA). Also we can now expect Lone Druid on Captain’s Mode!
Brewmaster totally have a different look from its original design in WC3 DotA. He now depicts a fat drunken wolf image carrying a huge barrel in his left side and a chako/flail weapon on his right hand.


“The Artisan of War” Pantheon


Pantheon is a melee assassin who is actually quite frail and does not have strong escaping capabilities. Focusing on Heartseeker Strike for offense and making him able to withstand punishment from opponents will make him a formidable champion. Pantheon’s passive is Aegis Protection which allows him to block the next incoming attack after attacking or casting spells 4 times.

“The Iron Ambassador” Poppy


Poppy is a fighter melee assassin that does a ton of damage especially in early games. With enough defensive and offensive capabilities, Poppy can be a formidable champion either as an opponent or a teammate. Poppy’s passive is Valiant Fighter which any damage dealt to her that exceeds 10% of her current health is reduced by 50% but does not reduce damage from structures.


Ish’Kafel The Dark Seer


Dark Seer is a support caster hero that employs his skills to fully disorient his enemies through vacuums and illusions, as well as support his allies. As a melee hero, his overall attack and natural movement speed doesn’t improve over time, making any follow-up melee attacks very risky. He’s also a very versatile hero; He can gank with Vacuum, push with Ion Shell, initiate with Wall of Replica, support with Surge, giving him a persistent role on a team.

This is a pretty chicken and rice casserole that is made from chicken wing pieces. You can buy them already separated or cut them up yourself. This is how my husband remembers his Grandma made it back in Bogota (with a little tweaking from me, heh heh heh). DH likes it served with maduros and patacones. Feel free to substitute with brown rice, but it will need to cook about 10 minutes longer, or more.

I didn’t realize quite a number of people (like you) didn’t really know lato or seaweed (the subject of my last post), or didn’t like its taste when they tried it. some prefer to have paku salad instead. these are edible fern fronds. then you throw in some slices of tomatoes, salted egg, fried peanuts, and boiled shrimps. this salad is almost always on the menu of the native kapampangan restaurants. this one was from the bulo restaurant in clark (more on their food in future posts). the dressing is a simple sweet-sour vinegar-sugar mix. delicious!

Bernhard Langer managed to win the SAS Championship last Sunday to take the lead against the leading score in the Charles Schwab Cup points race, shooting a 9-under 63 to beat Jay Don Blake by two strokes.
Four shots back entering the final round, Langer birdied the final two holes to finish at 13-under 203 at Prestonwood Country Club. The German star has two victories this year and 16 overall on the 50-and-over tour.
Blake closed with a 68. He needed a birdie on the par-4 18th to force a playoff, but hit a tree with his drive and bogeyed the hole. Mark Wiebe also shot 68 to finish third at 10 under.

Italian Marco Marcato wins the 2012 Paris-Tours cycling race in a 300-m sprint finish last Sunday.
Marco Marcato was beaten to the line by Greg Van Avermet of Belgium in a head-to-head sprint last year, but this year he held firm and accepted a challenge from Laurens De Vresse of Belgium and Dutch rider Niki Terpstra.
A 146-mile (234.964 kilometers) trek from Chateauneuff-en-Thymerais to Tours is favored sprinters in recent years, and this was the case again as the three riders broke away.

The former British number one and 29-year old Elena Baltacha foot surgery went successful after she announced last July that she will be undergoing a six months off from the court to recover from injury.
And she has now posted photographs of her foot in plaster on Facebook.
“I had successful surgery on my right foot yesterday to remove a little piece of bone that was causing a lot of problems around my ankle,” she said.

UFC Chad Mendes fights Hacran Dias on December 15

Mendes confirmed the fight last Monday on Twitter.
“It’s official like a referee whistle!” Mendes tweeted. “I’m fighting Hacran Dias Dec. 15 in Australia.”
Mendes steps into the Octagon for the second time where he is suffering from a first-round knockout last January 14 to 145-pound champion Jose Aldo at UFC 142.
It is also the first time that Chad Mendes lost a mixed martial match during his 13-bout professional career.
Last July 7, he rebounded from a setback by an impressive first-round knockout against Cody McKenzie.
The announcement of the fight against Dias comes a little more than a month since Mendes was hit with a battery charge by the Kings County (Calif.) District Attorney’s Office.
The charge, which was handed down Aug. 24, stems from an alleged physical altercation involving Mendes on July 29 at a Hanford, Calif., bar. Mendes is a resident of Hanford.
Dias (21-1-1) made his UFC debut on June 23 with a unanimous decision over Yuri Alcantara.

James Graham banned for playing 12 games for biting Billy Slater.

England’s international player James Graham is suspended for playing 12 games after biting the Melbourne’s player Billy Slater during the NRL Grand Final.
Not only the Graham is suspended but also the Canterbury Bulldogs which Graham is in, England is included in the ban consisting of two upcoming Tests against Wales and France, plus two trial games for Canterbury.

NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA has announced anti-flopping rules that will fine repeat offenders.
The NBA league said last Wednesday that flopping will be defined as “any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player.”
Players will get a warning the first time, then be fined $5,000 the second time. The fines increase to $30,000 for a fifth offense, if the flopping still goes on, the player will be suspected to sanction and possibly suspension.

Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy resigned last Sunday, after setting down the team set a franchise record for losses.
After the resignation of Tracy, The Rockies said that they are looking immediately for Tracy’s replacement. Colorado finished last in the NL West this year with records 64-98.
Jim Tracy was promoted from bench coach to manager last May 2009. He was voted the NL Manager of the Year that season after making the Colorado into the playoffs.
