In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Juan Monaco from Argentina defeated Julien Benneteau of France with the scores of7-5 4-6 6-3 winning his fourth title of the today’s season Malaysian Open.
Juan Monaco, ranked 11th, needed three hours of rally to defeat Julien Benneteau of over three hours, marking the longest tournament match of this year’s season on his hard-court title.
It was the first meeting between Monaco, a clay-court specialist, and the 34th-ranked Benneteau, who beat top-seeded David Ferrer of Spain in the semifinals.
