Luis Carlos Abregu of Argentina knocked out Thomas Dulorme of Puerto Rico with a flurry of punches in the seventh round Saturday night in a welterweight bout at Turning Stone Casino and Resort.
Luis Carlos Abregu (34-1) scored his 28th career knockout with a combination, beginning it with a hard right hand over the top, a punch he landed repeatedly in the fight against Thomas Dulorme (16-1), who is ranked No. 1 by the WBC.
Abregu followed with a left jab and a hard left to the head that sent Dulorme to the canvas, and referee Benjy Esteves stopped the bout at 2:35. The fight was scheduled for 10 rounds.
