Lucasfilm Plans For A Seventh “Star Wars” Film Expected To Be Seen On 2015


Echoed Disney chairman and chief executive officer Robert Iger, also commented on the merger between the two film studios:
“This transaction combines a world-class portfolio of content including ‘Star Wars,’ one of the greatest family entertainment franchises of all time, with Disney’s unique and unparalleled creativity across multiple platforms, businesses, and markets to generate sustained growth and drive significant long-term value.”

One of the main purpose of the deal, according to Iger, is greatly focused on the next three Star Wars movie the two studios planned, and it came with ”an extensive and detailed treatment for those movies mentioned.”
Lucas, on the other hand, released a video discussing the future films, adding that he has more story treatments to add not only for the three movies, but for “a bunch of other movies” as well.
