When you open your mouth to talk to a friend, you might probably want your friends to think about what you’re saying. Suddenly, your friend noticed that there’s an unpleasant smell coming out from your mouth, it’s embarrassing right? It’s actually normal to have this medical condition to some people at some point. We can say that this individual is suffering on what we call as bad breath.
Bad breath, also called “halitosis” medically speaking is a common problem not only on teens, but also for everyone. It could be a result from poor dental health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of food you eat and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. By means of this causes, all the food eaten begins to be broken down into your mouth and are eventually carried to your lungs and given off in your breath. If you don’t brush and floss teeth daily, food particles can remain in your mouth, which promotes bacterial growth between teeth, around the gums, and on the tongue. This causes bad breath. Antibacterial mouth rinses can also help reduce bacteria. In addition, odor-causing bacteria and food particles can cause bad breath if dentures are not properly cleaned.
