MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner will return from injury at the Japanese Grand Prix this October 14. Stoner missed his last three races because of the resulting of breaking ankle in a crash in qualifying in Indianapolis.
He said on his blog:  ”It’s been another quiet week here in Australia. I’ve been resting, having some physio and following doctor’s orders to recover.
“The good news is that I feel I can race in Motegi and will be rejoining my team next week, I can’t wait.”
While Stoner recovers from his injuries, he was replaced by Northern Irishman Jonathan Rea for the last two races. Rea usually competes in the World Superbike Championship, and was eighth at Misano and finished seventh at Aragon.
