Philippines make hosting the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup.

The Philippine Football Federation has made its bid to host the 2014 Asian Football Confederation Challenge Cup following an impressive showing of the national football team in this year’s edition of the tournament.
The AFC Challenge Cup is a competition played by the emerging football nations in Asia. Last March, the Azkals bagged third place in the 2012 staging of the tournament in Nepal.
The champion of the 2014 Challenge Cup will qualify for the 2015 Asian Cup in Australia.
PFF president Mariano Araneta said that the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila and the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod are the possible venues of the tournament if the country secures its hosting.
