Healthy eating starts with a new ways to eat, such as adding more fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grain and giving up on foods that have a lot of fats, salt, and sugar as well. It will help you feel you best and have plenty of energy. A change to healthier foods includes learning on the balance, variety, and moderation of food.
Eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables may reduce risk for strokes and other cardiovascular diseases. It protects against certain cancers and reduces the risk of coronary artery disease. It also help decrease bone loss and reduce the risk of developing kidney stones. Dietary fiber may lessen blood cholesterol levels and may lower risk of heart disease. No fruits or vegetables have cholesterol and most are low in fat and calories. Foods that are rich in Vitamins C heal cuts and wounds and keep teeth and gums healthy, and also aids in iron absorption.
