Lady Gaga And Other Stars Help Donate Fund And Support To Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts


Stars who not only love fame but loves to give a helping hand are definitely the ones that are blessed!
Several stars step out to help the relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast. First among the line is the lovely activist pop star Lady Gaga who announced on her official website that she would pledge $1 million To New York and American Red Cross to be used for relief operations in the post-hurricane scene. These are the words of the iconic star:
“If it wasn’t for NYC: the Lower East Side, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today. New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion.”
The “Pokerface” and “Born This Way” singer adds:
“Please accept this gift on behalf of myself, my parents Joe and Cynthia, my sister Natali; with our deepest gratitude New York for raising us. Thank you for helping me build my spirit. I will now help you rebuild yours.”
Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern, on behalf of the whole organization, expresses his deepest gratitude for the generosity of donors who support their humanitarian works:
“Hurricane Sandy’s path of destruction stretched hundreds of miles and impacted millions of people and this will be one of the biggest Red Cross relief operations in the past five years.”
